Faculty Positions

Tsinghua University, PBC School of Finance is now accepting applications for faculty positions at all ranks in finance and economics, starting in September 2022.


The predecessor of the PBC School of Finance is the Graduate School of the People’s Bank of China, established in 1981 by the People’s Bank of China. The Graduate School was famous for its esteemed reputation, accomplished graduates, and positive interaction with the finance industry.

With the approval of the Ministry of Education, the People’s Bank of China collaborated with the leading Chinese university, Tsinghua University, to establish the PBC School of Finance, Tsinghua University on the 29th of March, 2012.

Inheriting the glory of the Graduate School of the People’s Bank of China and building on the strong education foundation of Tsinghua University, the PBC School of Finance is committed to becoming a world class financial institute, cultivating professional talents for the financial sector, and providing policy advices for the government. The school is calling for significant growth in the number of high quality faculty members.


Full Professor:

Applicants for a Full Professor level appointment should have a Ph.D. from an accredited institution, an established track record of scholarly research, awards and other achievements on both international and Chinese market. The applicant should be able to demonstrate her/his capability to take a leading role in teaching, research and service.

Associate Professor:

Applicants for an Associate Professor level appointment should have a Ph.D from an accredited insititution, a documented excellence in research, awards  and other achievements on both international and Chinese market, and must be engaged in important ongoing research, and have demonstrated effectiveness in teaching.

Assistant Professor:

Applicants for Assistant Professor level appointment should have completed a Ph.D., or plan to graduate by June 2022 from an accredited institution, have a strong evidence of high research potential to produce high quality research on both international and Chinese market, and demonstrate promise of becoming an outstanding scholar in teaching and research.
