Three Banks Chaired by Students of the First Cohort of EMBA Make the List of “Top 1000 World Banks 2013”

Recently, the Banker’s July 2013 edition released the Top 1000 World Banks ranking. Three banks chaired by students of the first cohort of the Finance EMBA Program make the list again. They are: Beijing Rural Commercial Bank chaired by WANG Jinshan at No.285, moving up 21 places; Bank of Zhengzhou chaired by WANG Tianyu at No.529, moving up 42 places;Bank of Handan chaired by ZHENG Zhiying at No. 921, moving up 44 places.



 

The Banker is a world-renowned financial publication. Its Top 1000 World Banks 2013 rankings mirror the global financial dynamics: the United States stays on top, but with banks listed decreasing from 180 to 167; China’s mainland comes in second, with 110 banks on the list (including 94 Chinese commercial banks) which stayed flat with 2012 (Greater China Region has 162 banks, an increase of 6 over the previous year; Banks in Taiwan increase from 29 to 32, banks in Hong Kong from 16 to 18banks in Macao from 1 to 2); Japan held on to the third place, but with banks listed  dropping from 103 to 100.
