On August 24th, the Tsinghua PBC School of Finance (PBCSF) held a school opening ceremony for the 2012 incoming class, in the University History Museum. The ceremony was attended by school leaders, General Manager of the China Futures Margin Monitoring Centeracademic supervisor representative ZHANG Jinsheng, the Class of 2012, senior student representatives,other staff members.
Madam WU Xiaoling, Dean of PBCSF
Dean WU Xiaoling expressed her warmest welcome to the 84 students of the incoming Class of 2012. In her speech, she reviewed the history of the schoolits great contributions to the industry over the past 30 years. She said there will be great opportunities for our students as the school enjoys both the substantial educational resources of Tsinghuathe close industry connections of its predecessor, the Graduate School of the PBC. She ended her speech by urging that all students should cherish the opportunities given to them, live up to expectations placed on them,become financial elites with strong professional skills and international perspectives.
Prof. LIAO Li, Executive Associate Dean
Prof. LIAO Li, the Executive Associate Dean, stated in the ceremony that the Tsinghua PBC School of Finance stands as a school rooted in the Chinese Finance Market,yet is integrated with an international approach. He also expressed his hope that students fully capitalize on their two to three years in the PBCSF.

Mr. ZHANG Jinsheng spoke on behalf of all the academic supervisors. He congratulated the students on their new start at PBCSF. "You’ve all survived severe entrance competition against a great number of applicants", he said. "Wudaokou graduates are well recognized in the industry for their fine qualitiesprofessionalism."

FANG Xu, Class of 2012
As a senior student representative of the Class of 2011, WANG Sen, talked about his experiences at Tsinghuamade a few suggestions to the freshmen before wishing them good luck at PBCSF. FANG Xu, representative of the Class of 2012, said in his speech, that getting into PBCSF is not only a dream that came true, but also the start of new dreams, since the integration of the former school with Tsinghua makes a better platform for them as students.
At the end of the ceremony, staff members briefed the audience on the functions of each office at the school so as to help students adapt to the campus life.
