“I love the caring nature of the humanities and the meticulousness of business. I am curious about the world and have a passion for discovery. I have Chinese Soul with global vision” says Cai Haohuan, a new master student representative from Tsinghua PBCSF, who aims to devote himself to spreading the story of China's finance across the world, and contributing to global financial governance in international financial organizations.
During his undergraduate years, Cai has been actively participating in and organizing international economic and cultural communications, to building a bridge of ideas, and to acquiring a deeper understanding of the global financial market. He has organized the World Culture Festival, hosted the IMUSE China-US Forum, participated in the summer school of Yale, visited the University of Turin, Italy, and also served as a volunteer in the Belt and Road Summit Forum, making his own contribution to China's international communications.
Cai’s story with PBCSF starts at Research Center for Global Family Business, Tsinghua PBCSF. This experience reshaped his understanding of the financial industry and inspired him to join PBCSF for future development. During his case studies of sovereign wealth funds like Temasek, ADIA, PIF and Mubadala, he realized that he could simultaneously help China learn from global finance benchmarks, and vice versa voice the advantages of China to the international communities, to combine his passion in global communication with China's major development topics, and try to contribute to China's financial industry in his own way. PBCSF has offered Cai a platform to combine his humanitarian care with financial knowledge.
Recently, Cai has also been interning at a Private Equity Fund focusing on investment across the Belt and Road initiative. By providing investment and financing support for trade and economic cooperation, especially in infrastructure, Cai aspires to promote the common development of countries and regions along the Belt and Road Initiative. In the upcoming future, as PBCSF sincerely hopes, he will be the student with “Endeavour, Innovation, Harmony, Contribution”, advancing social progress for a better world.
