About the speaker:
Professor of Economics, Department of Economics, School
of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University, and Director of Center for
International Economic Research. He received his B.S. in Mathematics in 1982
from Nanjing University, M.S. in Economics in 1988 from School of Economics and
Management, Tsinghua University, and Ph.D. in Economics in 1982 from
Pennsylvania State University. Course Taught: Advanced International Trade.
His main research areas include International Trade,
International Finance, and Industrial Organization. He has published papers in
top academic journals, including “American Economics Review”, “American
Economic Journal", “Journal of International Economics”, etc. He
participated in many research projects for the World Bank and the International
Monetary Fund(IMF) as the project leader.
Professor Ju has been an Assistant, Associate Professor
(with tenure), and Professor of Economics at University of Oklahoma, USA, since
1995. He was also a Resident Scholar from 2007 to 2009 in Research Department,
International Monetary Fund, and a Consultant in the World Bank.
