The annual Tsinghua Workshop in International Finance and Monetary Policy (TWIFM) will be held on May 25-26, 2017 in Beijing, which is jointly sponsored and organized by the National Institute for Fiscal Studies, the School of Economics and Management, and the Monetary Policy and Financial Stability Research Center, the PBC School of Finance at Tsinghua University, as well as the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. The conference is an extension of the annual conference on Monetary Policy in a Global Setting: China and the United States, which started since 2012. We welcome papers in all areas of economics but with preference to works in international finance and monetary policy. The conference is composed of a regular academic session and followed by a half-day policy session where policy makers from central banks in China and the U.S. as well as other regions discuss and present their views on pertinent issues related to the global economy and monetary policy.
