In January 2019, a group of professors from PBCSF attended the ASSA (Allied Social Science Association) Annual Meeting, and held faculty recruitment events with the support of AFA branch.

The School launched the recruitment program in September 2018. The positions are open to economics and finance talents globally. By the end of December 2018, a total of 209 applications were received, the majority of which are graduates American and European universities. 33 candidates were invited to the interview during the ASSA annual meeting.

During the interview, the recruitment team carried out in-deep discussions with the candidates based on the evaluation of candidates’ academic excellence, comprehensive capability and career plan. After the interview, the selected candidates were invited to campus visits.

The School hosted the recruitment reception at Hilton Atlanta Hotel on Jan. 3rd. Nearly 300 finance experts and scholars from worldwide attended the reception. Prof. ZHANG Xiaoyan, Associate Dean of the School, addressed the event. During the reception, professors had in-depth conversations with participants, introducing the School’s strategy for internationalization. The high-level faculty of PBCSF was highly recognized by attendees and many of them showed great interest in joining the team.

As one of the most important global academic conferences in economics and finance, the ASSA Annual Meeting has become an authoritative platform for global researchers to conduct academic exchange and job application. The events held during the meeting have laid a solid foundation for attracting world-class scholars and promoting academic exchange, and also greatly enhanced the academic influence of PBCSF internationally in finance. The School will continue to promote its ideas, demonstrate academic achievements, and attract outstanding global scholars through the platform of the ASSA Annual Meeting, to build a world-class faculty team.
