2017 Notre Dame Winter Program Ends with Certification Awarding Ceremony

On the evening of January 20, Tsinghua PBCSF Winter Program concluded with a certification awarding ceremony at Mendoza College of Business, University of Notre Dame. 20 program participants received their certifications from Robin Kistler, Director of Non Degree Programs at Executive Education, and program manager Wendy Durham. In the closing speech, Robin Kistler congratulated the students on their completion of the program and appreciated their outstanding performance during their stay in the University of Notre Dame.


The faculty team for the two-week winter program is from the Mendoza College of Business, including Prof. Roland Burgman, Karen Slaggert, Director of Executive Education, Associate Professor Christina Wolbrecht, and Assistant Professor Paul Gao. Course topics range from the U.S. financial system, the American political system to entrepreneurship and international markets. Participants also had opportunity to exchange ideas with current finance postgraduate students after class and watch the University’s Glee Club show to acquire an in-depth experience of American university culture.


Besides visits to ND Innovation Park, Chicago Board Options Exchange and Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago for practical experience, visits to Chicago Art Institute and Willis Tower were also organized to enhance students’ cultural immersion. Students were deeply impressed by the charm of art and metropolitan city.


The University of Notre Dame is a Catholic research university built in the middle of 19th century.
