Comprehensive Knowledge and Global Outlook: IMF Deputy Managing Director Zhu Min On Career Planning

On March 20th, Mr. Zhu Min, Deputy Managing Director of International Monetary Fund (IMF), was invited to Tsinghua PBCSF, sharing his experience at IMF and thoughts about career planning.


IMF is a high-level research institute, gathering the largest number of doctors of economic in the world, as Mr. Zhu Min introduced, and its mission is to ensure the stability of the international monetary system. He spoke highly of the dedicated professional researchers at IMF and expected PBCSF students to attach great importance to professional competence and lay solid foundation for the future.

When talking about career development, Zhu spoke of the concept of human capital and stressed the significance of long-term planning, self-improvement and strong will. He also provided suggestion to the students on how to make decisions and how to adapt to the financial market.

The best thing about future is that it has unlimited possibilities, so young people should have dreams and courage to face it, Zhu said at the end of his speech. 


School Dean Wu Xiaoling remarked Mr. Zhu Min’s speech as highly inspiring. She encouraged the students to keep Zhu’s words in mind and have a down-to-earth spirit so as to strive for greater voice for China in the world.
