On January 25, Tsinghua PBCSF Winter Program opened in Mendoza College of Business, University of Notre Dame, with 35 master students from the PBC School of Finance attending.

Adjunct Professor at the University of Notre Dame and CEO at the Asset
Economics Inc., reviewed the development history of American financial
system and analyzed its current challenges in the opening course of the
US Financial System and Economy on January 26.
The faculty team for
the two-week winter program are from the Mendoza College of Business,
including Paul Velasco, Director of Stayer Center for Executive
Education, Bill D. McDonald, Thomas A. and James J. Bruder Professor in
Administrative Leadership, Robert H. Battalio, Professor of Finance and
Presidential Faculty Fellow, and James O’ Brien, Assistant Chair of the
Accountancy Department, in addition to Prof. Ronald Burgman. Courses
will cover topics ranging from the U.S. financial system and the
American political system to entrepreneurship and corporate finance.
Late in the program, attendees will visit enterprises and financial
institutions in Chicago.
The University’s
American Asian Club held a welcome party for the attendees upon the
team’s arrival, providing an opportunity for them to communicate with
local students.
