Tsinghua PBCSF’s spring cohort of the Finance Executive MBA program began their first week on March 27 in Sanya, Hainan. Participants of the fifth cohort represent companies from across the country and some overseas institutions. The number of listed companies represented totals 94. With an average age of 44, 64% of them hold a master’s degree or higher and 30% have an EMBA degree awarded by other business schools.
After introducing the School’s development strategy in his keynote speech at the opening ceremony on March 28, Executive Associate Dean Li Liao said he wished the participants could further their contribution to China economic growth by taking full advantage of all that the inspiring program has to offer.
Three representatives from the cohort shared their entrepreneurial stories. “Learning more about finance was crucial for the entrepreneurs to better manage the listed companies in the new normal,” said Xianfeng Cheng, Board Chairman of the Yifan Xinfu Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. Following his speech, Trend Capital President Ruyuan Wang and Founder and CEO of jimubox.com Jun Dong also expressed their expectations of the 2-year long program.
The Finance EMBA program, first established in 2012, adopts an educational approach that is closely aligned with the demands of China’s financial reforms. Building on a wealth of educational and industrial resources, the program enjoys an unparalleled faculty composed mostly of regulatory officials and industry elites. It is one of the best EMBA programs in the Asia-Pacific region.
