From April
27 to May 1, students from Tsinghua University PBSCF
traveled to Germany to participate in the “International Week on Central
Banking,” sponsored by the Deutsche Bank University of Applied Sciences.
Tsinghua students discussed
financial issues ranging from the 2008 financial crisis, shadow banking, the
European debt crisis, and government financial regulation with students and
professors from central bank-related universities in Russia, Germany, and Ukraine.
Outside the
discussion forum, students went on a sightseeing tour that included a visit
to the Frankfurt Currency Museum, and had chances to experience a bit of traditional
German culture.
