On November 14, Steve Smith, President of University of Exeter, led a delegation to visit Tsinghua University. CHEN Jilin, President of Tsinghua University, held talks with the guests. Associate Dean of the PBC School of Finance KANG Yitong was also present.

Chen introduced Tsinghua's objectivesstrategy of internationalized training of studentsresearch. The two sides focused on cementing cooperation in studentresearch exchanges on the existing basis.

The Signing Ceremony

Following the talk, in the presence of presidents from both universities, KangDean of Exeter’s Business School Robin Mason signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU). Under this MOU, the two sides will cooperate in fields including student exchange, faculty exchangeacademic research.

Founded in the middle of the 19th century, University of Exeter is a research-oriented general university, an outstanding representative among the UK's second group of red brick universities as well as a member of the British university league--Russell Group. The university was placed 8th on 2014 TimesSunday Times university league table.
