Gao Bin has over 20 years of global macro investment, financial research and teaching experience. He is currently the chief economist of Kaifeng Investment Fund and the CEO of Hong Kong based Invealth Capital. Prior to Invealth Capital, Gao Bin oversaw strategy and research as a partner of Guard Capital and successfully helped the fund to increase its AUM from 50 million to 1 billion US dollars in one year. From 2005 to 2014, Gao Bin was the managing director of Bank of America Merrill Lynch. During this period, he led the Asian rates and FX strategy team and won the first place in Institutional Investor Asia Survey. Gao Bin was the head of Lehman's Asia quantitative portfolio strategy Team from 2004 to 2005. Prior to industry, Gao Bin was a tenured professor in the Department of Finance at the University of North Carolina Business School in the United States and became one of the first 28 Distinguished Professor in the Tsinghua School of Economics and Management in 2002. Since 2013, he has worked as a special term Professor at Tsinghua University's PBC School of Finance. During his tenure in school, Gao Bin has published many papers in world-class financial research magazines such as "Review of Financial Studies", "Journal of Financial Economics" and "Journal of Econometrics" etc. Mr. Gao Bin got a BSc in space physics from University of Science and Technology of China, an MA in astrophysics from Princeton University and a Ph.D. in finance from New York University.
