The Research Center for International Macro Policy is affiliated with the PBC School of Finance at Tsinghua University. Focusing on macroeconomic policy research in an open economy, it centers on studies of the international monetary system, RMB internationalization and China’s monetary policy. Committed to both academic research and policy application, the Center strives to build a world-class exchange platform and authoritative think tank in this field, to tell China’s story well, contribute China’s wisdom, and enhance China’s voice and influence in global macroeconomic governance.
The Center is headed by Professor Kang Shi, a Chair Professor at the PBC School of Finance, Tsinghua University. His research focuses on major issues such as global capital flow imbalances and the evolution of the international monetary system, with achievements of both theoretical and practical value. The Center recruits outstanding scholars from home and abroad and conducts in-depth academic research, providing solid theoretical and policy support for the development of a modern monetary policy framework with Chinese characteristics and the building of a strong financial nation.
