Founded in June 2020, the Research Center for Real Estate Finance (RCREF) is directly affiliated with the PBC School of Finance (PBCSF) at Tsinghua University and stands as a distinguished scientific research institution within the realm of real estate finance.

RCREF operates under the guidance of Mr. XIAO Gang, former Chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) as well as policy experts and industry leaders. Built upon PBCSF’s research capacity and unique resources, RCREF is committed to conducting in-depth policy studies and practical research, exploring the theoretical foundations of real estate finance. By establishing and utilizing the effective communication channels with policy department, academics and the market, RCREF is dedicated to facilitating policy making, promoting best practices and fostering international exchanges and cooperation in this pivotal sector of the economy.

RCREF hosts PBCSF Global Forum for Real Estate Finance. The Forum organizes a wild range of events including public conferences, closed-door symposiums, field trips, online dialogues & lectures, as well as Executive training programs. By hosting these events, the forum serves as a sustainable platform convening policy-makers, academics, industry experts, leading financial institutions. As a think tank, the Forum also produces high-quality intellectual output including policy reports, industry reports, academic and research reports, publications, white papers, and case studies.
