Abstract: 

In recent years, sports industry has been praised as a new "economic growth point”. The mode of sports governance is the product of sports management, and it is the most important thing in the development of sports industry. This paper will analyze the governance model of Soviet sports and Russian sports, and explore how Russia has inherited the traditional Soviet sports governance model and developed it after the disintegration of the Soviet Union. In this paper, we will take the development of the respective sports management models, competitive sports, youth sports and mass sports in the Soviet Union and Russia as the starting point to observe the reform of Russian sports after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
