Abstract：

With the development of sports and the increase of related consumption, sports economic is expanding its influence in Chinese society. Three fundamental questions of sports economy are discussed in this article. Firstly, the report interprets the core of sports economy: sports-related factors such as actors, regulations, capital and technique combine and interact with each other, and we define the economic values and social benefits emerging within this process as the sports economy. Secondly, the report illustrates how sports economy and social economy complement one another and mutually promote, theoretically and practically. Last but not least, we state that the development of sports economy is crucial to Chinese social advancement due to its significant role in economic growth, social welfare, cultural construction, and the international status of China.
