The Research Center for Alumni Development was established on September 12, 2018 by the approval of school’s council to systematically study the Wudaokou school-running history and summarize the traditions and characteristics of Wudaokou culture. In order to refine the Wudaokou educational concepts and promote the integration of Tsinghua and Wudaokou culture, the Research Center for Alumni Development aims to study the theory and practice of the alumni development, also explore its individual law. The research center improves the construction of the school's service and alumni development system further encouraging alumni to support the school's talent training and career development. The purpose of the research center is to promote the common development of alumni and the school. The director of the research center is Gu Liangfei, also serves as the secretary of the School's Party Committee. Zhang Wei, the director of the alumni office, is the deputy director. And the center has another two full-time researchers.
